    Job Description

    Allied Universal is currently seeking an IT Technical Specialist that will support the Applications Development Team by improving and maintaining the development platform, assisting with installing, configuring, and testing various application services, and performing various functions in connection with testing and deployment of application functionality.

     

    Primary Responsibilities

    • In conjunction with the Application Development Team, maintain, improve and update Team Foundation Server, executing strategies to automate and/or enhance developer efficiency
    • Assist DBA with database application maintenance
    • Configure, test and implement application services/middleware
    • Create scripts as directed to fulfill user requests for data and/or to automate processes
    • Assist with application functionality deployment
    • Create SharePoint objects as directed to fulfill user requests

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation – to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood
    • Collaborate in the deployment of new applications and/or enhancements to existing applications
    • Coordinate and perform testing for modified and new processes, and other post-implementation support
    • Participate and contribute as a positive role model to Allied Universal's IT Department and to the organization as a whole

    Qualifications

    • Education required: BS/BA in business administration, computer science, finance or management
    • Technical knowledge of SQL Server and .net environments
    • Project management skills
    • Experience with SharePoint, SQL scripting, Power script
    • Customer service orientation
    • Occasional travel and overtime to meet project deadlines
